Fuji Velvia Scan at Sunset

This is a slide that shows how good the HP scanner really is.  I've tried my best to match levels in each scan.  There are only minor differences in the two scans, with the Nikon scan showing truer colors and somewhat more detail.  For example, the grass and sky colors in the Nikon scan look exactly like the original slde (velvia is VERY saturated).  The HP is slightly muted.

Despite having lower resolution, the HP seems to have better focus, or possibly less blooming.  Compare the enlarged portions below.

Also, notice some scan noise in the hill shadows.
